The view from our table at Cafe' Aquatica, Jenner, California

Along the Northern California Coast, in Sonoma County,  there is a quaint and picturesque coastal town called Jenner. It sits along the last bend of the Russian River, where the mouth of the river and Pacific Coast Collide. We stopped here to refuel the Land Cruiser and ourselves.  There are only a couple restaurants in Jenner, but the few choices you have offer variety and are welcoming.  We chose Cafe’ Aquatica. It offered a nice local feel, great outdoor seating, a nice view of the Russian River, and a good menu. Rich and I ordered the “special of the day” – Dungeness Crab Sandwiches with a side of spicy slaw and two iced Chai’s. For the kids – grilled chicken sandwiches and a can Hansen’s to share.  If you get a chance to stop at Jenner I would definitely recommend getting the tasty Dungeness Crab sandwich from Cafe Aquatica, sit at a table on their back porch and watch the local sea lions sunbathe. Besides, there isn’t another place to gas for miles…

Parked out front of the Cafe'. I was a little envious that this person was traveling the coast on a motorcycle.
